Industrial Piercing
The Industrial Piercing begun to rise in popularity during the early 90s. It is in effect two piercings combined in one, connecting the Forward Helix with the Helix, with one barbell. It is very important for both piercing angles to be angled on a perfectly straight line, to avoid dynamic pressure on the piercings.
The Industrial Piercing has a unique character, and with a careful design it can match many Ear Curations. However not all anatomies are suitable. One must have sufficient cartilage bend on the Helix and also on the Forward Helix to support the piercings. At the same time, the piercer must examine the flat space, to ensure it provides enough space for the barbell to run across unobstructed.
If you are interested in this piercing, we recommend you get in touch with us, and one of our expert piercers will advise on your options. Talking about options, this classic piercing has evolved in recent times. Custom Industrials are available, with angled barbells, ball or gemstone adapters, some examples of which you can browse on the photos below.
As all Cartilage Piercings, pressure must be avoided during healing, so no talking on the phone on that ear or sleeping on that side. Healing would take on average six to twelve months, but each person heals differently. Please, carefully read and follow our Aftercare Instructions and take very good care of your piercing to avoid any complications. We are with you for the entire healing journey, with free checkups and advice along the way.
With a few new habits and consistent care and attention, your piercing will heal perfectly and you will have a special piercing which many will envy.
