The Conch Piercing got its name from the ear shape at that particular placement, as it resembles a conch seashell. Depending on your anatomy, you could get one, two or even three Conch Piercings!
It is very important for the shape of the jewellery to follow the shape of your anatomy, so we can achieve the effect that you were born with it there. At least that is what we are called upon to achieve, here at Piercer Charlie’s Creations.
The Conch Piercing is meant to have a leading role on an Ear curation, but at the same time that is not necessary. One’s anatomy might allow different placements for the statement piece.
Once it is fully healed, plain or spectacular hoops can be fitted, but they need patience. At a minimum, 9 months of healing are needed.
We know, you might be scared to commit to this piercing, as the cartilage at that place seems thick and you are afraid it is going to be sore. But maybe, the reality is different…
The piercing can be performed very fast, and the needles are ultra sharp, causing minimal trauma. Pain will last for barely a second.
And, let’s not forget, a piercing is just a short pinch of pain for permanent beauty!
Healing would take on average six to twelve months, but each person heals differently.
Please, carefully read and follow our Aftercare Instructions and take very good care of your piercing to avoid any complications. We are with you for the entire healing journey, with free checkups and advice along the way.
