Septum Piercing
The piercing that is hated by the mums and dads of the past decades, the Septum Piercing! It managed to become a trend in the last years and one is considered ‘too old for it anymore. The same moms and dads that hated this piercing in the past are rocking it with style now.
The eye gets accustomed to and normalises situations that used to be seen as extreme, and accepts them. The jewellery choice is wide and spectacular, and definitely helps someone decide to get this piercing done.
As an experience, it is an easy piercing for the client, as it is not sore and heals easily, generally during 6-10 weeks. However, it is not easy at all for the piercer, as the septum does not forgive even the tiniest mistakes while piercing it.
The piercing must go through the Sweet Spot, at an appropriate angle for the jewellery appear straight and symmetrically with ones anatomy,
But what is the Sweet Spot? It is that tiny space between the inner upper nose cartilage and the thicker skin tissue underneath.
Initial jewellery can range from classic circular barbells to plain hoops to stunning statement pieces with sparkly gemstones. The classic circular barbell offers the option to hide this piercing at any time, simply by flipping it upwards and hiding it inside the nostrils.
Healing would take on average six to ten weeks, but each person heals differently.
